Why Boston? Years ago I fell in love—with the city! I visited from the West Coast. Three years later I moved. Boston is about new beginnings.
Throughout history, people migrated to Massachusetts to get a new life start. Most of us are familiar with the story of European settlers. History classes have ignored indigenous peoples who existed before the arrival of Europeans. According to archeologists, the earliest humans to arrive in Massachusetts was more than 10,000 years ago. I speculate that native people moved for the same reasons to find food, expand their tribes, and live near resources. I’m sure even in the 21st century we move for similar reasons, to find work, settle down, thrive, gravitate near resources like housing, move in with partner, or for an adventure.
The characters in my stories usually have new beginnings in their life. Every character is unique. Regardless of their ethnicity, cultural values, personality, life experience, they are looking for something. And in that journey, they find love. ❤️

I write bold interracial romances with a high level of heat portraying strong heroes and heroines from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Diverse characters share different experiences and perspectives; ultimately, human desire for love and passion is universal. We all want the same thing. Human nature is universal. That’s what I discovered in my flings and relationships, which all happened to be interracial romances.
Reading my erotic interracial romances will satisfy your soul, help you explore human nature, and color your worldview with passion. It’s a decadent feast for the senses.

New Beginnings by Rani Mohan
Office romance. Interracial. BDSM. Opposites attract.

Nina Krishnan is done. After divorcing her controlling husband, she lost everything. Jobs are hard to find after being a decade-long housewife. She lands a secretarial role at a prestigious Boston biotech firm. She’s a BDSM club regular. Nina prides in being a slut, a sensual woman unafraid of her sexuality and openly enjoying it through moonlighting as a stripper and playing kinky games with various play partners. She refuses to be tied to one man and holds on to her fear of another heartbreak. That is until she meets Morgan.
But, there’s one problem…
Morgan is a VP in her company. And, both are polar opposites in every way. Morgan is a smalltown Midwest conservative preacher’s son. Nina is a big-city girl from a progressive Indian immigrant family. What would they have in common?
Morgan Gallagher has it all. He lived the inspirational rags-to-riches story. He’s successful in every area, except with women. His powerful presence and being ridiculously handsome seduce most women, but he fears intimacy. He hates his womanizer reputation. He is drawn to the domination aspect of kink. Nina captures his attention and ignites his desire for a deeper connection. That’s something Morgan has not experienced. He is eager to lead Nina, but his painful past haunts him. Can he surrender to love and be Nina’s protector, dom, and lover?
Both Nina and Morgan face new beginnings as they explore passion. Will their new beginnings include discovering love?
About me

In a nutshell, I’m a global nomad (Third-Culture Kid) who grew up in Dubai, immigrated to the US, worked abroad in Singapore, and back in the US where Boston suburbia is now home. I’m either at my corporate job, with my family and friends, the gym, or exploring the city.
Enter midlife crisis. I thank midlife crisis for giving me the motivation to throw my hands up in the air and say, “F*ck it!”
When I got my graduate English degree, I had the hopes to write the next Great Indian-American novel like Jhumpa Lahiri. Writing literary fiction wore me out. Maybe someday I’ll have the strength to write topics about domestic violence, trauma, and alcoholism. I continued to teach English literature and edited books.
Growing up with conservative Christian religion and Indian culture of the 80s and 90s, romance novels were considered sinful. In the secular world, writing romances were not for serious writers with grad-school level education. The truth is that anyone can enjoy a decadent romance. Passion draws us because it makes us human. I re-discovered my love for romances after I had the opportunity to edit a few romances.
My romances include BDSM, interracial, Boston-based, and real characters facing real life problems as they navigate the urban jungle of modern life. Despite life’s challenges, they find their happy endings.
